Rescue and Relief Foundation is actively involved in addressing these issues, with a specific focus on underprivileged children affected by cancer. We provide funds for medical examinations necessary for early cancer detection, ensuring that crucial and expensive tests are carried out properly. Our organization conducts awareness campaigns to promote early detection, ultimately saving lives. Additionally, we offer support for palliative treatment, aiming to alleviate pain and trauma associated with treatments like surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, and bone marrow transplants. We recognize the importance of mental support and organize forums for cancer patients, as well as their parents, relatives, and guardians.
Furthermore, Rescue and Relief Foundation collaborates with the Cancer Fight Foundation to provide assistance in treating cancer patients through various initiatives. For instance, we support the treatment of child patients with cancer in a renowned Kolkata-based cancer hospital, offering nine beds specifically designated for their care. Given the young age of these patients (typically 7-8 months old), their parents need to stay close to the hospital. To support them, we facilitate the provision of semi-skilled labor jobs in the vicinity of the treatment zone. Additionally, we contribute to the treatment of underprivileged patients suffering from painful colon cancer, offering support for four beds in another cancer hospital in Kolkata.
Through our multifaceted approach, Rescue and Relief Foundation strives to make a difference in the lives of cancer-affected individuals, providing much-needed assistance, raising awareness, and fostering a supportive environment for patients and their families.
